Our goal is to create a retreat where you can rejuvenate and enjoy the beautiful surroundings of southwest Virginia. Relax in our downstairs parlor; watch a DVD selected from our collection of the American Film Institute's top 100 movies; cozy up with a good book from Terry's library; or enjoy a glass of wine or iced tea while rocking on our wrap-around porch overlooking the Appalachian Trail.

About Our Inn

2010 marks the beginning of our 4th season; we welcomed our 1st guest on May 13, 2007. This has been a wonderful, exciting journey with almost 2000 guests staying at Augusta's during the past 3 years! And it would be our pleasure to share our home with you too.

We spent 6 months in 2006 and 2007 renovating this 1902 house. With no experience to speak of, we rolled our sleeves up and personally made all the renovations with the exception of having the floors professionally resanded , installing a new roof and adding two new bathrooms.

Our house was built by the Ketron (aka Catron) Family during the lumber boom in 1902. We have attempted to restore the house to its original luster while bringing the modern conveniences and comforts to you with private bathrooms, central heat and air, and flat screen satellite televisions in each bedroom. During our renovation, we found priceless original heart pine wood floors; etched oak window casings; a solid oak stairway. These treasures have all been restored.
