Our goal is to create a retreat where you can rejuvenate and enjoy the beautiful surroundings of southwest Virginia. Relax in our downstairs parlor; watch a DVD selected from our collection of the American Film Institute's top 100 movies of all time; cozy up with a good book from Terry's library; or just enjoy rocking on our wrap-around porch overlooking the Appalachian Trail.

About Our Inn

Retiring and moving from Tallahassee, Florida, we spent six months from September 2006 through May 2007, renovating our 105 year old home for you to enjoy. Even though we had no experience to speak of in the areas of carpentry and remodeling, we rolled our sleeves up and made all renovations with the exception of having the floors professionally resanded, installing a new roof and adding two new bathrooms. It would be our pleasure to share with you this experience and to have you enjoy our "labor of love."
Our house was built in 1902 and 1903 by the Catron Family during the lumber boom in Damascus, Virginia. We have attempted to restore the house to its original luster while bringing the modern conveniences and comforts to you with private bathrooms, air conditioning, and flat screen satellite televisions for each bedroom. During our renovation, we found priceless original heart pine wood floors; etched oak window casings; a solid oak stairway. These treasures have
all been restored.
